About the Program

Kids Korner Christian Preschool is an extended ministry of Glendale Christian Church that provides a Christian atmosphere in which children will enjoy learning and growing. Children ages 2 to 5 can be enrolled in the Kids Korner Preschool program. Children must be two years old by June 1st in order to enroll. Class formations will be based upon enrollment, and class sizes will be kept small with each teacher having no more than ten students; in the two year old class no more than six students per teacher. If classes are full, a waiting list will be provided.

Learning Opportunities

Our classroom schedule will be a balance between passive and active learning activities, planned and free options, and small and large group sessions. Learning skills will be taught through integrating science, math, language, art, music, Bible reading, scripture memory, and fun. Play is viewed as a child’s “work” and the way in which most learning takes place. Learning Centers (such as the building, housekeeping, reading, art, science, and hands-on centers) and a Music and Movement class will be included in daily learning activities and play.

Parents

Parents are encouraged to become involved in their child’s learning experience at Kids Korner Preschool. This can be accomplished through appropriate visits, being present for special events, field trips, and holiday celebrations, and by participating in Parent-Teacher Conferences. Each family will be responsible for providing snacks and juice for their child’s class on a rotating basis.

Enrollment

Enrollment will be limited and taken on a first-come, first-served basis. A child is not considered "enrolled" until the enrollment form is submitted and enrollment fees paid. The non-refundable enrollment fee is $35.00 ($60 for multiple children).  Up-to-date immunization records MUST be on file the first day of school and a preschool medical form will be required to be on file within the first 30 days of school for ALL students.
