Connection Groups

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

At GCC, our mission is to “Make Disciples” by being “Father-Willed, Christ-Compelled, and Spirit-Led.” We are a church not just “with” small groups, but we are a church “of” small groups. Connection Groups at GCC are places where disciples are made through Bible study, fellowship, care, outreach, and ministry.  Our desire is for each member of Glendale Christian Church to be a part of one or more of our Connection Groups.  

 Our Connection Groups are divided into four categories: Bible Study Groups, Social/Recreational Groups, Life Groups, and Ministry Groups.

BIBLE STUDY GROUPS

These groups are focused primarily on growing individual’s faith by growing in the knowledge of God’s Word. This might be done via studying a particular book of the Bible, or via topical studies that search the Scriptures for direction and answers. These groups are open to anyone who is interested!

LIFE GROUPS

Our Life Groups are all about growing closer to God and one another in a more intimate setting. These groups often will meet in homes; study God’s Word, pray, fellowship, serve, care, and love for one another, all while developing lasting friendships. These all occur within our Life Groups.

SOCIAL/RECREATIONAL GROUPS

These groups are about fellowship, and having fun together as we get to know one another better. Our Social/Recreational Connection Groups are a great place to meet people, and to invite others as an outreach to the community. 

MINISTRY GROUPS

Ministry Groups are just what their name implies. These groups are areas for you to serve and minister to others. We believe God has gifted each person to serve one another in the body of Christ. Our ministry groups are where you can use your God given gifts and talents to serve others.
