This powerful message turns the page from understanding God's plan to embracing our active involvement in it. We're reminded that salvation has always been about the blood - from the garden of Eden to the Passover to Christ's ultimate sacrifice. But now comes our part. The Great Commission isn't optional or reserved for professional ministers; it's a call to every believer to make disciples of all nations. What makes this both challenging and liberating is the sandwich structure of Matthew 28 - Jesus declares all authority belongs to Him before the commission, and promises His presence always after it. We never evangelize under our own authority, power, or alone. The message confronts our tendency toward lifestyle evangelism that never actually shares the gospel, our excuses about inadequacy, and our selective geography about who deserves to hear. Jerusalem represents where we are now, Judea where we want to go, Samaria where we don't want to go, and the ends of the earth means everyone without exception. The key to unlocking this calling is prayer - specifically praying to the Lord of the harvest to send workers, while recognizing we are the answer to our own prayer. When we pray for courage, opportunities, and boldness, we're tapping into the Spirit's power that already dwells within us, the same power that raised Christ from the dead.
